Clay Conley
Ethnomusicology
Clay Conley (they/them) is an ethnomusicology pre-candidate. They hold a BA in Music and Gender and Sexuality Studies from Swarthmore College. Their current research focuses on contemporary western popular music and live performance as they intersect with theories of gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, and Posthumanism. Outside of the classroom they are a personal trainer and GroupX instructor through UM RecSports, Vice President of the UM Weightlifting Team, and multi-Instrumentalist and singer-songwriter.
