Recently, SMR member Elizabeth McLain participated in a national webinar entitled “Embracing disability wisdom during COVID-19: What we can learn from the disabled community.” According to the webinar’s advertisement, “due to COVID-19, the country as a whole is experiencing what it’s like to have limited access to daily needs…there’s a lot we can learn from the disabled community about making things accessible to all.” Elizabeth was joined by U-M’s Dr. Feranmi Okanlami (Michigan Medicine) and Pam McGuinty (Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion).
