Society for Music Research
Over the summer, SMR teamed up with Booksweet, a local independent bookstore on the north side, to purchase books to aid with SMR members’ research. The week of September 25, SMR hosted two hybrid events for participating members to offer brief presentations discussing the book they read and how it pertains to their research. The research showcase led to productive conversations, a better understanding of each other’s research, and—of course—more titles to add to our reading lists.
