First Meeting of Pre-Candidate Writing Group

To kick off the second week of the Winter 2021 semester, SMR pre-candidates (organized by theorist Yiqing Mitty Ma) gathered on Zoom for the first meeting of the SMR Pre-Candidate Writing Group, snappily abbreviated as PCWG. The Pre-Candidate Writing Group was formed as an analogue to the Dissertation Writing Group, and it aims to workshop the genres of writing that pre-candidates most often produce, such as term papers, conference proposals, and presentations. PCWG participants had a productive workshopping session and look forward to the continued feedback and camaraderie that this group will undoubtedly provide!
