On November 20th, SMR members gathered via Zoom to participate in a Pre-Candidate Abstract Writing Workshop, hosted by SMR Forum. Senior SMR members shared previously-accepted abstracts and gave advice on organization, writing effectively in 250 words, the art of tailoring an abstract to a specific conference, and how to reference other scholars in passing. Thank you to those senior members who facilitated the workshop, and to SMRF, who organized the event. Keep an eye out for another upcoming workshop that will give SMR members the opportunity to submit an abstract draft for revision!
